unique art calendars celebrating places people love
Kootenay Boundary Art Calendar
The south eastern BC regional art calendar is both a calendar and cookbook. This unique art calendar celebrates places people love in the East and West Kootenay & Boundary regions of British Columbia.
The artists and the recipes in the calendar bring inspiration and beauty to all of us in our kitchens and work spaces, and remind us of our home communities and the places we dearly love. These calendars help to keep us connected to our shared sense of belonging.
Each month includes original paintings by well-known local artists, featuring favourite regional places, the ‘good-vibes’ of where they live and THE CREAM OF THE CROP Recipes, representing a few popular area chefs, food producers and artists. From mountain back-country, to the forests, beaches, rivers, lakes, and iconic landmarks, the paintings in these calendars capture the light, colour, and texture of the landscape we call HOME!
The inside back page includes information on the artists, restaurants and links to local communities, markets and culture. This medium size calendar (9” x 12”) is printed on beautiful silky paper. They come with biodegradable cellophane sleeves or plain envelopes.

KOOTENAY BOUNDARY ART CALENDAR 2025
I was attracted to the calendar 5 years ago, and my decision to purchase has not disappointed. For five years I have now distributed the calendars to a different group of my clients, and each year I immediately get calls and emails of thanks. The local nature of the calendar is impressive, both the artwork and the recipes! It’s great to be able to proudly display our own Kootenay Boundary Canadiana. Thanks Maggie for carrying on this tradition for us.

I love going through the pages and seeing all the beautiful paintings. I think you’ve done an awesome job, in a new position, in the toughest year we’ve seen in some time. Thanks again for putting these together.
